Casting Call: Real EMTs and Paramedics for Background Roles

Central Casting New York is seeking real-life EMTs and Paramedics for upcoming background roles in movies and TV shows. If you have the skills and want to add acting to your resume, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

Job Detail: You will be working as a background actor, utilizing your real-world experience to bring authenticity to emergency response scenes. Your role is critical in creating a believable atmosphere for the primary actors to perform in.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act in a variety of scenes, portraying an EMT or Paramedic in the background.
• Follow directions from the director, assistant director, and other crew members.
• Prepare for scenes by reviewing scripts or scenarios as required.
• Bring and wear your own EMT/Paramedic uniform if requested.
• Be available for wardrobe fittings, makeup, and shooting as scheduled.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Open to all genders and ethnicities.
• Must have real EMT or paramedic experience.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changes on set.
• No prior acting experience required.
• Must be a member of SAG-AFTRA for specific opportunities (not mandatory for all roles).
• Must complete standard federal I-9 documentation.
