Casting Call: Female Dancer for Short Film
Job Detail: We are seeking a talented and dynamic female dancer to fill the role of an ’80s stripper in an upcoming short film. This role requires an individual who can convincingly portray a character from the 1980s with authenticity and confidence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform dance routines with a strong understanding of the ’80s style and aesthetic.
- Work closely with the director and choreographer to develop performances that align with the character’s portrayal and film’s narrative.
- Attend all rehearsals and costume fittings as scheduled.
- Maintain a high level of energy and professionalism on set.
Requirements:
- Female performer, aged 18 or over.
- Experience in dance, with the ability to adapt to various styles; experience in ’80s dance styles is a plus.
- Comfortable with the portrayal of an ’80s stripper (note: no nudity required).
- Availability for an early call time and commitment to the scheduled shooting date.
- Must be based in or able to commute to Manhattan, NY, for rehearsals and filming.
Compensation Details:
- This is a paid role. Specific compensation details will be provided upon application and will be commensurate with experience.
- Additional perks may include credit in the film, footage for the performer’s reel, and meals provided on shooting days.

This is a short documentary airing on a major news network in Summer 2021. We are filming in mid-March. Travel and expenses will be provided if necessary. This is a non-union production. Covid protocols will be strictly adhered. Tests will be provided for all talent and crew.
