Job Description: We are excited to announce a casting call for Inuit and other Indigenous performers for an upcoming series to be featured on a major CBC/APTWA streaming platform. This project presents a unique opportunity for Indigenous actors to be part of a compelling new series that explores the life and challenges of a young Inuk mother striving to build a new future in a small Arctic town.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the character of Colin, a series regular, with authenticity, depth, and nuance.
- Participate in rehearsals and take direction from the director and other production staff.
- Collaborate with other cast members to develop on-screen chemistry and dynamics.
- Attend costume fittings, makeup sessions, and other pre-production activities as required.
- Be available for the entire shooting schedule, including potential travel for on-location shoots.
Character Details:
- COLIN: Male, aged 29 – 40 years. We are specifically looking for Inuit or Alaskan Native performers (Yupik/Yuit/Inupiaq/Iñupiat), including mixed race – Inuit/BPOC. Colin is a kind-hearted individual with a wicked sense of humor. LGBTQ12S performers are strongly encouraged to submit. Bilingual abilities in English and Inuktut/Iñupiaq or Yupik are a plus but not mandatory.
Requirements:
- Must identify as Inuit or Alaskan Native (Yupik/Yuit/Inupiaq/Iñupiat) or be of mixed Inuit/BPOC heritage.
- Ages 29 to 40 years old.
- No previous acting experience is required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Availability for the entire duration of the shooting schedule.
- Willingness to travel if the shoot requires.
- LGBTQ12S performers are encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
- This is a paid opportunity. Compensation details will be provided upon selection and will be commensurate with industry standards.

- Comfortable performing in a dynamic environment surrounded by party onlookers.
- Experience in similar roles is a plus but not required.
- Must be available to shoot in Toronto.
Compensation:
- Pay: $3,000 if selected.
- This is a non-union campaign.
