Job Description: We are excited to announce a casting call for Inuit and other Indigenous performers for an upcoming series to be streamed on CBC/APTWA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a compelling new series that aims to bring Indigenous stories and voices to the forefront.
Storyline: The series revolves around a young Inuk mother striving to forge a new future for herself in a small Arctic town where personal affairs are public knowledge. It’s a narrative that explores community, identity, and resilience in the face of societal and personal challenges.
Roles Available:
- COLIN (Series Regular): We are looking for a male actor aged between 29 and 40 years, of Inuit Native (Yupik/Yuit/Inupiaq/Iñupiat) descent, including mixed race individuals. Colin is a kind-hearted soul with a wicked sense of humor. We encourage LGBTQI2S performers to apply. Being bilingual in English and Inuktut/Inupiaq or Yupik is an advantage but not a requirement for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the director and other actors to bring the character to life.
- Participate in rehearsals and take direction to refine performance.
- Be available for the entire shooting schedule and willing to travel.
- Engage in promotional activities for the series as required.
Requirements:
- Indigenous background, specifically Inuit or other Indigenous descent.
- Aged between 29 and 40 years (for the role of Colin).
- No previous acting experience is required.
- Willingness to work as part of a diverse and dynamic team.
- Ability to travel and stay in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada for the duration of the shoot.
Compensation Details:
- This is a paid opportunity. Specific compensation details will be discussed upon selection.
- Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for the duration of the shoot.

- Height: 5’8” to 5’10”.
- Medium brown complexion (please refer to the photo in the casting notice for reference).
- Must be a highly skilled pool player, capable of performing advanced shots with confidence.
- Comfortable performing in a dynamic environment surrounded by party onlookers.
- Experience in similar roles is a plus but not required.
- Must be available to shoot in Toronto.
Compensation:
- Pay: $3,000 if selected.
- This is a non-union campaign.
