Job Description: We are casting for a principal lead role in an independent short film titled “The Interview.” This dark comedy/drama revolves around the Devil conducting interviews to find a suitable replacement so she can finally take a vacation. The film will be shot in Nashville, TN, and we are seeking local talent or those within a reasonable self-drive distance.
Principal Speaking Role: Andrew Stanton
- Age: 25 to 50 years old
- Ethnicity: All ethnicities
- Description: A vindictive, preaching serial killer with a fanatic view on religion and a love for hearing his own voice. At a glance, Stanton seems disheveled, awkward, and mild-mannered; given the chance to speak, he quickly drops this facade.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the character with depth and authenticity, bringing the unique traits and complexities to life.
- Follow the director’s guidance and collaborate with other cast and crew members to achieve the desired performance.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and punctuality throughout the filming process.
- Participate in rehearsals and table reads as required.
Requirements:
- Must be a local hire in the Nashville, TN area or within a reasonable self-drive distance (no transportation/accommodation provided).
- Non-union status.
- Prior acting experience in film or theatre is preferred.
- Comfortable with the dark comedy and drama genres.
Compensation Details:
