Job Description: We are casting for the principal lead role in an upcoming independent short film titled “The Interview.” This is a low-budget, non-union project that will be filmed in Nashville, TN. The film is a dark comedy/drama centered around the Devil holding a series of interviews to find a replacement so she can finally take a vacation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the lead character, Mortelle (“The Devil”), with authenticity and depth.
- Deliver lines with a wry sense of humor and convey the character’s complex emotions.
- Collaborate closely with the director and production team to bring the character to life.
- Participate in rehearsals and follow the shooting schedule diligently.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality on set.
Requirements:
- Female actor, 30 to 50 years old.
- African, Black, North African, or West Indies/Caribbean descent.
- Must be a local hire in the Nashville, TN area or within a reasonable self-drive distance (no transportation/accommodation provided).
- Strong acting skills with experience in delivering dark comedy and dramatic performances.
- Comfortable portraying a character with a strong personality and a deep love for mankind.
- Ability to work on a low-budget independent film.
Compensation Details:
- Rate for the role of Mortelle: $250.00 for 12 hours per day.
