Job Description: Sara Koch Casting is excited to announce the casting for the independent narrative short film “The Running Kind,” set to film in Stockton, California. We are seeking talented actors to bring this compelling story to life. This is a SAG-AFTRA Micro Budget Agreement project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray the character Cary, a wayward man struggling with life’s commitments and seeking control through impulsive actions.
  • Participate in on-screen driving scenes, requiring a valid driver’s license.
  • Collaborate with the director and fellow cast members to bring depth and authenticity to the character.
  • Engage in rehearsals and filming as scheduled by the production team.
  • Embrace the character’s emotional journey, from dissatisfaction to self-realization.

Requirements:

  • Male actor, 35 to 50 years old, all ethnicities welcome.
  • Strong acting skills with the ability to convey complex emotions and character development.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to work in Stockton, California; travel and housing will be covered by production.
  • Voiceover experience is a plus but not required.
  • Submission of online demo clips is encouraged.

Compensation:

  • Rate of Pay: $285/day.
  • Travel costs from L.A. or nearby will be covered by the production.
  • Housing will be provided for all artists.

  • Time and a half pay after 8 hours.
