We are casting for a SAG-AFTRA Category II Industrial “How-to” video for an injectable medicinal product. The video will feature a friendly character named Alan demonstrating the proper usage of the product in a simple, reassuring way. Actors will not be using actual needles, but will instead pretend to administer the injection. Travel is paid for non-local talent, and the project will be filmed in New York City.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray “Alan,” a friendly and approachable neighbor who demonstrates how to use an injectable medicinal product.
  • Perform on camera, clearly delivering instructions in a warm, reassuring tone.
  • Demonstrate the injectable process, showing your stomach (no actual needles involved).
  • Work with the production team to create a relatable, easy-to-follow video for viewers.

Available Roles:

  1. Alan (English Speaker):
    • Male, aged 32-55.
    • BMI: 32-40 (weight range: 250-300 lbs) – must be comfortable showing the stomach for demonstration.

  2. Alan (Fluent Spanish Speaker):
    • Male, aged 32-55.
    • BMI: 32-40 (weight range: 250-300 lbs) – must be comfortable showing the stomach for demonstration.
    • Ethnicity: Hispanic.
    • Must be fluent in Spanish, with a warm, expressive personality and clear speaking voice.
    • Character references: Eric Stonestreet, Horatio Sanz.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable showing your stomach on camera for the demonstration.

  • Description: Latina, age 16 (18 to play younger), uses a powerchair due to a disability or chronic illness (e.g., muscular dystrophy or cerebral palsy).
  • Personality: Lex is a driven and ambitious high school student with a sharp mind and a strong sense of independence. She’s smart, confident, and a bit bossy, but ultimately she has a big heart and is motivated by a desire to create a better life for herself and her grandmother. Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required.
