Catherine Kemp

My name is Catherine Kemp, and I reside in Spring, Texas. I developed an interest in acting during my high school days and participated in UIL acting competitions. As a senior, I was named to the Houston UIL All-Star cast. I continued studying it and acted in plays during my first two years of college before moving in a different direction. Later, when I took a break from my teaching career to be a stay-at-home mom, I decided to give acting another shot. I auditioned for a local professional theatre and was cast in a principal role. The Houston Press reviewed the play and mentioned my name only out of a cast of eleven, saying, "Catherine Kemp making her professional debut is a major find." After the play's run was over, I went back to teaching. I'm now proud to say that I'm "a major find".
