Looking For:

1. Male, 55-65: You are a dedicated Tim Horton’s fan who visits frequently enough to order with ease, primarily enjoying hot beverages but open to trying something new.

2. Female, Gen Z, 20-27: You are familiar with Tim Horton’s but it’s not always your first choice. Your preference leans towards cold beverages like cold brews or frappuccinos, and you’re open to exploring more of what Tim Horton’s has to offer.

Requirements:

• Must be local to Detroit or willing to travel at own expense.

• Must be comfortable with being filmed and trying various menu items.

• No dietary restrictions as the role requires trying products that may include dairy, sweeteners, and caffeine.

• Experience in acting or commercial work is a plus but not required.

Compensation Details:

• Filming Pay: $500 for a 10-hour day of filming.

• Usage Rights: An additional $750 for the use of your likeness in the commercial for a period of 6 months.

Casting Call: Seeking Mandarin Speaking Actor for Student Film

Job Details:

This student film, operating under the SAG-AFTRA Micro Budget Agreement, is seeking a talented individual to play the role of Jin, a college student with a deep fascination for ceramics who struggles to connect with his art due to the impersonal nature of his AI instructor. This is a last-minute replacement casting call, so prompt submissions are encouraged.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray the character of Jin, bringing to life his despondence and rebellion against the artificial instructor in a compelling manner.

• Work closely with the director and crew to achieve the vision of the film.

• Participate in all scheduled filming days and any required rehearsals.

• Contribute to promotional activities as reasonably requested by the production team.

Requirements:

• Asian Male, age 17-30.

• Must speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. Fluency must be noted in your submission.

• Able to convey a wide range of emotions, particularly frustration and rebellion.

• Previous acting experience preferred but not required.

• Must be available for all filming dates and willing to travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan, if not locally based.

• Union and Non-Union actors are welcome to apply.

Compensation Details:

• Talent will be compensated at $250 per day for three days of filming.

• For talent traveling from outside of Michigan, the production offers a $60 per-diem on travel days (March 13 and March 17).

• Flight, transportation, and lodging for the duration of the production will be provided and covered for non-local talent.

Job Description:

DNA is excited to announce the opening of applications for the Emerging Filmmaker Fellowship for 2024. This prestigious opportunity is designed for BIPOC media-based storytellers based in Detroit who are looking to make a significant impact in the film industry. We are committed to nurturing talent and providing a platform for creative expression and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce a short film, either a documentary or a narrative project, within the fellowship period.
• Participate actively in mentorship sessions, professional development workshops, and networking events organized by DNA.
• Collaborate with mentors and peers to refine storytelling and filmmaking skills.
• Engage in all aspects of film production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing.
• Present the completed short film at the conclusion of the fellowship.

Requirements:

• Identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color).
• Reside in or be willing to relocate to Detroit for the duration of the fellowship.
• Possess a demonstrated interest and some experience in filmmaking, storytelling, or related media fields.
• Propose a project that is impact-driven, historical, personal, and/or experimental in nature.
• Commit to full participation in the 18-month program, including all scheduled workshops, meetings, and events.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.

Compensation:

• A total of $25,000 will be provided for the creation of the short film.
• An additional $15,000 stipend will be distributed incrementally throughout the fellowship to compensate for time and participation in the program.

Job Description: We are excited to announce a casting call for a diverse group of 7 individuals to join us as Extras in an upcoming music video shoot in Detroit. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a creative and dynamic project, and experience the thrill of a professional music video set.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate as an Extra in the music video, following the director’s instructions.

We are seeking a SKYCAM Utility / Reel Watcher for an upcoming college football broadcast between Indiana and Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team, capturing exhilarating moments from the heart of the game.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the SKYCAM operator in setting up, testing, and operating the SKYCAM equipment.
• Monitor the SKYCAM feed on the monitor and alert the operator of any issues or adjustments needed.
• Ensure the safety and smooth operation of the SKYCAM equipment throughout the game.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to coordinate shots and ensure optimal coverage of the game.
• Follow instructions from the SKYCAM operator and production team efficiently and accurately.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as background characters in various scenes as directed by the production team.

Job Responsibilities: As a participant in this commercial campaign, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the brand’s vision to life. Whether you’re cast as a Principal or an Extra, your role will contribute to the overall atmosphere and narrative of the commercial. You don’t need any prior acting experience, and we encourage individuals of all backgrounds to apply. We are particularly interested in real friends, couples, families, and multi-generational family groups to create an authentic and relatable portrayal.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Michigan residents or US citizens living near Detroit.
• Must be available for at least one full filming day (August 28, 29, 30, or 31).
• No prior acting experience necessary – all experience levels are welcome!

Compensation Details: Principals:

• Session fee: USD 500.00 per 10-hour day.
• Overtime (OT): USD 125.00 per additional hour beyond 10 hours.
• Fitting fee: USD 75.00 per 2-hour session.
• Moving media buyout: $2,500.00 USD. This buyout is payable only to recognizable talent whose full face is featured in the foreground for a minimum of 1 second in the final materials.

Extras:

• Daily rate: USD 350.00 for a 12-hour day.
• Overtime (OT): USD 50.00 per additional hour beyond 12 hours.
