Job Description:

We are currently casting for an upcoming art project in collaboration with Sophie Klock and Yelda Ceyda. The project will be shot in Paris on the 18th and 19th of October, with each talent required for only one shoot day. We are seeking a diverse cast of 5-7 individuals who are comfortable both in front of the camera for both photo and video work. Professional acting skills are not necessary for this project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the art project as directed by the project coordinators.
• Be comfortable with photo and video shoots.
• Some roles may involve friendly intimacy as a part of the scene (please mention if applying with a friend or partner for those roles).
• Collaborate with the creative team to bring the vision of the project to life.

Requirements:

• Age range: Teen/Young Adults (GEN Z)
• Based in Paris or able to travel to Paris for the shoot dates.
• Available on October 18th.
• Comfortable with both photo and video work.
• No professional acting experience required.

Casting Call: A TALE OF TWO CITIES

SYNOPSIS: It’s the best of times and the worst of times. The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. The oppressed call for revolution. Despots threaten global war. Sound familiar? It’s Paris and London, 1787, a powder keg of spies, lovers, madmen, and unexpected look-alikes. This radical reimagining of Charles Dickens’ classic tale of the French Revolution forces us to ask: am I who I am because of my actions or the circumstances of my birth? Do I control my destiny? Where do we begin if we want to right the wrongs of history?

SEEKING: Actor 4:

• Age Range: 20s-40s

Role:

• Primarily plays SYDNEY CARTON, a brilliant, rakish, funny, self-defeating, and over-imbibing lawyer. We like him, we root for him, we laugh with him, we believe in his best intentions, we may even love him…we’re just not sure we can trust him. Also plays a number of smaller roles, including SERVANT, REVOLUTIONARY, and ARISTOCRAT.

Job Responsibilities:

• Bring depth and authenticity to the character of Sydney Carton, displaying his multifaceted personality and inner conflict.
• Assume various supporting roles (SERVANT, REVOLUTIONARY, ARISTOCRAT) and embody each character with distinct traits and mannerisms.
• Collaborate closely with the director, fellow actors, and production team to bring the vision of the play to life.
• Attend all rehearsals and contribute to the creative process with dedication and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated acting experience in both lead and supporting roles.
