- · Filming in the Tarentum and Pittsburgh areas. Kids must be able to miss school!! *Studio Teacher will be on-set for their school work.
- · Pays $11.25/hr for the first 8 hours, then time and a half.
- · Must be able to Covid test in Tarentum in advance of scheduled shoot dates. Covid tests are required regardless of vaccination status
- · A Guardian must be present at all times and no other siblings are allowed who aren’t booked to work. Guardian will also have to test.
We are currently looking for participants (age 18-20) for a new educational documentary/reality series called “Best Friends For a Day”, filmed in Ireland.
The series is being produced by one of the major broadcast public service companies in Sweden: www.ur.se, an institution for educational media comparable to the UK´s counterpart BBC Learning or BBC Bitesize. “Best Friends for a Day” will be aired on national television and distributed as educational media to schools all over Sweden.
The premise of the show is simple: We follow an enthusiastic Swedish teenager to UK/Ireland where he´ll befriend an English-speaking local peer for a couple of days, and together they´ll do all the things the local teenager would normally do with his/her real-life best friends (everything from school to leisure activities). The main purpose of the series is for young people in Sweden to develop their English communication skills through the real-life events our teenagers face in the show. Simply an exciting way for our viewers to learn how young people live and communicates in various English speaking countries.

A regular person might walk into a Target and pick out any ol’ coffee maker, but not Theo. He reads the Wirecutter article about Coffee Makers (original and updated for ’21) and compares them with multiple Consumer Reports before selecting his hot bean water maker. He’s THAT kinda guy. He’s meticulous, and very smart. He should be deadpan in these — Kevin is the one trying to get him to lighten up and “crack,” but Theo plays it straight.
- Must be fit, able to move, run, climb do things new recruits for the Marines would be asked to do. You don’t need to be perfect – its the movies, but you do need to be able to move.

Synopsis:
Best friends who intern at the Powhatan Historical Society are tasked with making a boring tourism video when they get the idea to record themselves hunting down a local cryptid known as the Ratman.

MARK SMITH, Male, 18-24, Any Ethnicity
Mark is a fun-loving goofball who isn’t the smartest in the room but always keeps things fun. He took an internship at the Historical Society because he wanted to hang out with his friends and thought it would be easy work. He always has a story to tell about his eccentric uncle who he idolizes.
JOHN DIK-JAKOV, Male, 18-24, Any Ethnicity
John is Mark’s straight-laced best friend and de facto leader of the group. He always wants to do his best and follow the rules, but the pressure he places on himself to do so makes him extremely anxious. John envies Mark’s relaxed, go-with-the-flow attitude but can’t follow suit because of his need to be responsible and feel in control of his life.
CHRIS JONES, Male, 18-24, Any Ethnicity
Chris was the first friend to get an internship at the Historical Society and recommended the job to John. Although he’s more introverted and prefers to be behind the camera, he has a big personality and loves playing pranks on his friends.
Mascot Experience a plus though not required.
