Hello everyone! My name is Tony and I’m doing both the casting and crew call for an upcoming very low budget horror film called SLIME NIGHT in OTTAWA, Canada. Filming will take place between June 23rd to June 29th!
For crew members, we are looking for a cinematographer, boom operator, set assistant, and a special effects make-up artist! All paid, of course!
For casting, the characters are as followed:
CHESTER – easy going, laid-back, main guy.
BARRY – funny, goofy guy, takes nothing seriously.
VERA – Sassy, funny goth lady.
DUNCAN – Maniac whose only life goal is to torment people.
JOEY – Duncan’s bonehead sidekick.
LUCY – kind lady with some deadly secrets.
SYLVIA – Lucy’s murderous sister.
ARCHIBALD – fun jock type guy
SLIME QUEEN – lots of make-up prosthetics, character kills a lot of people.
EXTRAS – lots of demons are in the movie, so we will need people to play those.
Pay will be between $50 – $150 a day for the cast, crew will be negotiable.

The short film Esther & Sai is looking for background actors to play:
- nursing students (female, Caucasian, 18-30)
- university students and staff (open gender, open ethnicity, 18-40)
- grocery shoppers (open gender, Caucasian, all ages)
The film is a period piece set in the 1970s. This is a volunteer position, however, credit and snacks will be provided.
Esther & Sai is based on the true story of Sai Choo (a Chinese immigrant) and Esther Aneke (a Nigerian immigrant) who met in Vancouver at nursing school in 1976. Seeking amazing woman who identifies as fat and trans for two-hander short play (20 min) that attacks transphobia, bullying, and fat shaming with biting humour and sensitivity.
Short time frame; we need to record by April 7 for broadcast later in the month. Rehearsals online, production recorded via OBS.
