Storyline:
“Get Wrong, Get Right!” is a unique sci-fi/romantic comedy that narrates the story of Meng, a diligent export salesman from China. Meng discovers that his dreams have the power to transport his soul into Cooper, a sophomore majoring in statistical math in Florida. As Meng navigates this new reality, he accidentally falls in love with Annie. This tale explores themes of identity, love, and the dilemmas faced when living through another’s life. Will Meng and Cooper learn to adapt or seek to return to their own lives? This soul-switching adventure asks profound questions about identity and choice.
Roles Available (4-6):
Meng’s Colleagues
- Gender: Any
- Age Range: 25-40
- Character Brief: Characters are diligent and ambitious export salesmen, paralleling the main character Meng. They are portrayed as good friends of Meng and form a tight-knit group.
- Special Requirement: Actors with basic Chinese speaking skills are preferred, though not mandatory. This is to maintain authenticity in the portrayal of characters closely interacting with Meng.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in rehearsals as scheduled by the director.
- Work closely with the director and other actors to develop characters.
- Be available for the entire shooting schedule from April 2 to April 7, 2024.
- Assist in promotional activities as required.
Requirements:
- Prior acting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to portray complex characters with authenticity.
- Commitment to the project timeline and rehearsals.
- Professional attitude and work ethic.
- Basic understanding or willingness to learn basic Chinese is a plus.
Compensation Details:
- Rate of Pay: $125 per day.
- Contract: Plus 10% (Additional details will be provided upon casting).
