Job Description

Executive Producers oversee the Delivery teams: the VFX Producers and VFX Supervisors assigned to the delivery of shows, accountable for all aspects of planning and execution of project delivery and financial success.

They are a senior commercial representative for MPC, forging strong client relationships and speaking for the company in critical negotiations. They are a point of escalation during deliveries, and key contributor during the bidding and award of new projects.

As well as these relationships, the EPs work extensively with the Senior Management teams and Global leadership team to achieve the business objectives and manage the company.

The EPs collaborate as a global group to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all aspects of Producing are upheld and continually improved.

All EPs report directly to the Global MD but may report operationally to Senior Management in their location.

 

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Liaise and negotiate on major changes in award scope, value and schedule
  • Regular calls with all clients to ensure continuity and transparency of Producer reporting, and that high delivery service is maintained
  • Meets with VFX Producers & Supervisors weekly to monitor project financials
  • Accountable for quota & schedule achievement, ensuring schedules are competently planned and executed
  • Attends weekly Delivery Management meetings to collaborate with Senior Management Team on delivery statuses and undertake actions where necessary
  • Briefs Producers weekly, cascading relevant information to Producers at all times
  • As key member of Senior Management Team
  • Provide constant training, feedback and mentorship to all Producers and is a role model for all Production
  • Ensures a healthy and productive work environment and duty of care for all employees

Client facing – it is essential to be confident, clear and calm with all clients. The faculties to steer conversations to a constructive outcome, maintaining diplomacy and professionalism, whilst creating a pleasant, warm and productive working relationship are critical

 

  • Communication skills – ability to lead a team, manage diverse personalities and viewpoints; the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others
  • Scheduling – there should be a proven ability to schedule work of a complex nature, especially within the VFX space, with a thorough understanding of quota-based tracking and forecasting
  • Adaptability – the will to shift gears mentally and deal with both ambiguity and fluidity, whilst supporting and leading others through the same
  • Finance – understanding Profit and Loss, budgeting, analysing bids vs. actuals and spend vs. Completion.

Position Description

Day In The Life:

The Web Producer, Essentials will play a critical role in the launch of a new business providing everyday goods to customers. We are looking for a Web Producer with experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail oriented and brings an entrepreneurial work style. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Site Experience.

This role will actively support our DE&I framework by identifying opportunities to increase and promote diversity in our teams, products and brands. They will lead with inclusion to nurture our OneTeam culture by removing barriers for our Associates and communities.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for transforming compositions and designs into application code for associated web content
  • Maintain site and mobile content via Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Work with in close partnership with Marketing and Content teams to manage multi-channel publish calendar to drive special promotions, email campaigns, preparing art assets (graphics, audio and video), staging and publishing content, preparing web content for publication
  • Ensure all planned site updates are completed on time and to desired specifications
  • Assist in daily site maintenance efforts and development of bug fixes to establish site stability including but not limited to – changes, troubleshooting, and issue resolution; consulting with internal teams where needed
  • Assist in planning and implementing strategic and tactical initiatives as needed, both independently and as part of a team with tight deadlines

 

What You Will Need:

  • 3+ years of professional web production experience
  • Superb communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills
  • Experience with a Content Management System, preferably experience with Alfresco, experience with WCS is a plus
  • Proficient with HTML5, CSS with strict adherence to W3C standards and understanding of browser-specific peculiarities
  • Experience with JavaScript/JQuery, XML, XSL, and JSP or similar compiled page language
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop CC; experience preparing video and audio files for online delivery
  • Experience with Dreamweaver, Sublime Text or an editor for Code and Markup
  • Ability to optimize website code for viewing on multiple platforms and browsers
  • Knowledge of basic usability standards and best user experience practices online
  • Detail-oriented and quality assurance minded with conscientious follow-through
  • Eagerness to learn to and adapt to a fast-paced environment with frequent changes

All roles are non speaking/recreations. Most roles will need to wear a wig. This is a non-union project. No acting experience is required.

PRODUCTION GRAPHIC DESIGNER

 

We are a consumer-packaged goods company located in the heart of downtown Montreal, that manufactures, develops, designs and markets consumer products our own brands as well as licensed brands. We are currently seeking a Production Graphic Designer who is hands on and committed with a “can do” attitude who is creative and has strong packaging experience. Working within the graphic design group, as part of the larger marketing department you will have to demonstrate good adaptability, flexibility, conscientiousness, and a positive attitude.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Brand Marketing and Creative Vision, you are innovative, hard-working and ready to join a fun and close-knit marketing team. The Production Graphic Designer will create packaging and digital assets based on brand style guides and assist with internal requests for various needs. You will help send and manage all internal files, and ensure communications with our overseas manufacturers are clear and efficient. You will play a pivotal role representing our brand messaging through creative and visual means. The person in this role will be accountable for ensuring graphic design projects are delivered on time and of the highest quality.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work as part of a design team to develop content that engages and inspires our customers/consumers while adhering to company brand guidelines ie. Advertising, sell sheets, product packaging, online assets, presentations, etc…
  • Provide graphic design support for projects including packaging layout alterations, photography manipulation, and resizing existing creative designs
  • Research and provide recommendations based on best practices as well as industry and consumer trends
  • Coordinate and monitor projects with other internal departments (i.e. product management) and external suppliers;
  • Conceptual ideas that can translate into well-crafted design solutions
  • Balance creative thinking with time management
  • Have an in-depth understanding of imagery, composition and design, as well a strong ability to communicate and collaborate
  • Work with style guides to design packaging and marketing materials
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to format artwork, ensure print quality standards are met, and collect, process and organize files
  • Preparing and transferring files for printing and production

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3+ years of pertinent experience {preferably in packaging design) managing and executing projects in an agency, in-house production department, or similar professional studio environment 
  • DEP in Graphic Design; or bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.
  • English (fluent) / French or Spanish are assets but not required
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat
  • Experience with packaging die-lines, pre-press and printing production/file preparation
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Creative and capable of visualizing an end result
  • Experience with FileMaker, 3D Renderings, Photography, all, an asset

  • 6+ years of experience in bridal or evening design with demonstrated success
