Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain show contact lists and technical data, including vendor information, camera, capture and finish specifications. Understanding of all aspects of the production and post production process is a must.
  • Pull clips for internal departments such as Publicity, Legal and the Awards team. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere a must!
  • Support Post Teams from prep through wrap, ensuring archival procedures are followed per Post Manual.
  • Understanding f LTO archiving procedures, “near-line” storage, Scenechronize and Daisy.
  • Set up new users to access the Post Manual in Scenechronize.
  • Update Post Manual and documents when needed.
  • Receive and coordinate delivery of camera masters, hard drives and related post materials. Maintain Library, where hard drives and other critical elements are held for active projects.
  • Receive Studio and Network distribution lists for Dailies and Cuts for each of the series and communicate them to post staff on the shows. Maintain and update the post staff throughout the season with changes.
  • Coordinate Anti-Piracy and Wrap meetings with post teams.
  • Vet new vendors with the Anti-Piracy team.
  • Track cuts and ensure finals are fingerprinted by Content Security.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support “Gatekeeper” duties for our DIGITAL DAILIES system includes the following:
  • Assist Gatekeeper with set up of new projects and provide DIGITAL DAILIES with a list of Studio, Network, Post and Production names and emails address to create new user accounts.
  • Support Gatekeeper in the collection of distribution lists.
  • Back-up Gatekeeper for approval and additions (new accounts), removal (disable accounts), changes in permission, granting new permission.
  • Monitor the two “Executive Screener” projects to ensure that the final episodes are being uploaded upon delivery for each of the series.

Job Description

The Director, Global UXUI Experience Design role is a core member of the Global Experience Design Group at UPR, focused on advancing an innovative, seamless, and inclusive user experience connecting the immersive physical in park experience through digital touchpoints to drive engagement, conversion, and build fan loyalty. Will play a critical role in identifying and designing new digital products that engage and transform the customer experience. Works closely with a cross functional team to ideate and develop new experiences that unlock the potential of Universal Parks’ products and platforms for our guests. Will lead and support the development of short, mid-long-term strategies focused on driving business results and experience strategies across our 5 Global Theme Park destinations with a primary focus on the development of our new theme park, Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resorts and New Venture destinations.

Customer Experience

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategies and design solutions that support the UPR Global Experience Design vision and strategies across the consumer journey with a focus on identifying customer challenges to help improve the user experience.
  • Develop end-to-end experiences and enhancements across all customer touch points and channels in partnership with a cross functional team. Projects will include new product launches, customer facing channel enhancements and capabilities that evolve Universal Park’s & Resort’s experiences to align with our Global Brand standards and Experience Principals.
  • Conduct UX Research and assess end-to-end business processes, and practices, identify and implement enhancements to improve customer satisfaction in effort to deepen loyalty and trust with our guests.
  • Drive solutions for key business decisions with and through the organization to enable alignment and collaboration as new products or enhancements roll out.
  • Ensure that the designed practices, annual product and consumer targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met based on the experiences delivered. In addition, be responsible for profit and loss as well as operational profitability of the product as influenced by the consumer’s reception and experience.

GAME DESIGN

  • Act as the subject matter expert and driver of new products and UXUI solutions with product & creative teams to support the end-to-end experience.
  • Continually challenge the status quo by understanding consumer preference and intent. Champion, communicate and reinforce the Global Experience Design Vision to deliver the next paradigm in the immersive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with portfolio partners on new opportunities in developing areas of the games and digital markets, leveraging advanced technologies such as blockchain and NFT’s. Develop a deep understanding of these constantly evolving spaces and provide paths to activate using NBC Universal intellectual property to sustain and grow our overall business and engage fans.

LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION

  • Lead teams to define and develop user-centered design experiences in partnership with Creative, Product and Technology teams across all Global platforms (web, mobile, interactives games and immersive technologies)
  • Lead and coach a highly collaborative and talented Global UXUI team of internal UXUI Designers, Interaction Designers, Copy Writers and UX Researchers. Qualifications

  • Experience in project team leadership and large-scale program planning and implementation as well as willing to be hands on when needed

The Director role serves as a primary contact for the NBCU Entertainment Marketing department providing audience insights and collaborating on multi-platform program analysis. The successful candidate will need to be agile delivery focused, proficient in SQL syntax/querying, have a strong familiarity with data pipelines/ data warehousing, and be comfortable working with senior and demanding stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for aligning with the business goals by defining requirements and enforcing an end-to-end data platform, complete with associated standard policies, compliances, security practices, and technologies across the data ecosystem.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Adopt and advocate for a data-as-a-product mindset while evangelizing the importance of robust data integrity to accurately inform critical business decisions
  • Understand the product vision, both from a business and data perspective
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap, tracking the progress of the team’s commitment to deliver, clearly communicating status
  • Work closely with the delivery team; own, manage, and convey requirements through user stories to inform the scope and design of data solution, planning and being available for technical inquiries and support
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional delivery team, data architects, and data analysts defining roadmaps, requirements, and solutions.
  • Assist PMO during estimation sessions, to help prioritization of features and inform the product backlog
  • Identify key risks and issues and ensure they are escalated in a timely manner
  • Act as data point person in key team ceremonies: weekly showcases, estimations, backlog refinement, planning sessions, and retrospectives
  • Work closely with the brands and stakeholders to understand new requirements, how they impact our existing data pipelines, and what we need to ensure the integrity of the Data Warehouse.
  • Collect and remove ambiguity on stakeholder requirements.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 (bonus eligible)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or engineering, or focus on data/statistical analysis or equivalent experience highly desired
  • 3+ years of experience in a data-related role (SQL, familiarity with data pipelines, data quality, ETLs, and data warehousing practices)
  • Familiarity with PCI/PII scope and security concerns related to online payments and personally identifiable information
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence
  • Detail and results-oriented, able to write detailed specs, data flows, and analyze data to justify product decisions, and apply key learnings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across various teams and audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyze complex requirements, data sets, processes, and systems
  • Excellent organizational skills that will allow you to deal with uncertainty by creating structure and prioritizing effectively
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
