Job Description

NBCUniversal is looking for a Senior Manager of Consumer Insights to design, execute and socialize primary research insights across a variety of brands including NBC, Bravo, E!, USA, SYFY, Oxygen, and Universal Kids.

This position will work closely with groups across the organization – including content development, production, marketing, brand strategy, press, and Peacock – to represent the opinions, attitudes, preferences, and behaviors of a wide range of consumers. This individual will be a critical player within the team tasked with executing primary research and conducting robust analysis in support of the team’s strategic objectives. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Content and Consumer Insights, and work with stakeholders across the organization with a core area of focus that includes competitive unscripted content, scripted content, social media reporting, and media landscape trends.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct custom qualitative/quantitative research projects (such as online surveys, focus groups, online communities, etc.) including pilot tests, concept/casting tests, series maintenance, talent evaluations, brand research, etc.
  • Manage research needs around competitive unscripted and scripted programming and development. Likewise, collaborate with development, production and marketing leaders to help inform audience-building strategies, and evaluate content and creative.
  • Ideate and execute big-picture strategic projects, examining larger genres, themes, trends, and/or research frameworks to drive the long-term strategy of our brands.
  • Supervise and manage research vendors/partners, keeping track of key project details such as timing, recruitment of respondents, survey programming, and data output, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Consult with internal clients on their various initiatives, drawing on overall knowledge of viewers and best practices gleaned through research.
  • Integrate primary insights with other types of data, pulling together findings to create an integrated narrative, and contextualizing viewer attitudes and opinions in behavioral data.

Responsibilities

  • Annual and Trimester Planning: Partner across the organization to manage the annual marketing calendar and trimester priorities for their segment. Collect and interpret supporting data for annual situation assessment and post-program assessments.
  • Strategic Marketing: Provide holistic assessment of business performance to inform decisions. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address gaps. Identify what is working or not working in the marketing program to inform changes in business priorities. Track, assess and report weekly business results vs. plan. Partner with Finance to track attendance budget and provide weekly updates.
  • Business Development: Articulate opportunities/challenges, develop a hypothesis, frame the approach, gather supporting data, drive the analysis, and communicate findings succinctly and clearly. The Entertainment Production group is responsible for producing live themed entertainment at Universal Studios Hollywood, including development of marquee events (Halloween Horror Nights, Holidays at Universal, etc), park entertainment of various scale (theatrical, street atmosphere, special events), placemaking efforts, and other notable special projects.

Working in a collaborative setting, the Production Designer is responsible for conceiving, defining, and developing the production design (‘environment’, scenic, set dressing, props, etc) within an assigned portfolio. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Production Design.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Working with the Show Director and/or Creative Director, develops concepts via sketches, storyboards, and photo studies to communicate preliminary design ideas.
  • Creates comprehensive show set packages to relay design details to internal project teams for review/approval and to vendors for bidding and construction.
  • Works with IP holders as needed on proper usage of brand, adhering to all style guides and specific IP requests.
  • Presents designs to project team and Senior Management to communicate vision and implementation of elements.
  • Monitors construction progress, assisting in identifying and resolving any unexpected conditions and/or discrepancies between the construction, drawings, and design intent.
  • Continually performs quality checks for ongoing creative maintenance of elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather assets from multiple client-based locations
  • Ensure asset and project workability within proprietary and client-based systems
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to propel projects forward
  • Coordinate information and assets for teams
  • Liaise with multiple clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • Maintain clear communication with clients
  • Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
  • Oversee project procurement management
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Localization (subtitling, dubbing) experience preferred
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management

  • Experience in media industry and post-production workflows
  • Passionate about customer experience and customer service excellence
  • Hands-on experience with digital media workflows is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical individuals

This position will work directly with the post-production team at an Entertainment Agency to oversee all aspects of Post production pipeline for film, trailers, and marketing collateral. Project management is a must as this role will arrange meetings with new clients, spearhead correspondence, assure that projects are delivered at scope, and build a productive repore with post supervises.This role will oversee the night production team, onsite from 5:00pm – 1:30am.
